Knight Color and Design
Knight Color & Design was created to meet the needs of a niche market looking for an updated and smarter approach to traditional full-service interior design. With free access to thousands of ideas and products via the internet, clients often find materials and finishes they like, but lack the fundamentals of design and color to pull it all together. Whether you are a residential client looking for design services, or a full service contractor, I can add beauty, function and value to your home. My approach as a designer is different. My business style is similar to a personal design coach. I want to understand your vision and help you to make the best choices that will take you and your home across generations of time. My strength is choosing timeless interior and exterior colors, evaluating your remodeling choices, and helping to select products and materials that optimize your long term investment. I want you to live in a well appointed home not only today, but ten years from now.
Handmade brick set subway tile is the perfect backdrop for a gorgeous slab of calacutta marble. An oval vessel sink sits high on a custom vanity, with a traditional brass wall faucet. This bathroom has all of the amenities: rain shower head, heated marble floors, curbless shower entry, glass shield door and soft venetian plaster walls.

The fireplace stone originally lived in a cottage in downtown Carmel. It was later removed and used to build a grand fireplace in Pebble Beach. In a remodel years later, the fireplace was torn down and the stone returned back Carmel. The stone was dry stacked and topped with an old railroad tie mantel.
Floor to ceiling makes a statement.
A reclaimed bar was topped with a custom zinc countertop. The piece sits under an old window, which created the perfect room divider.
Adding elements of nature creates warmth and personality.
The value of my service: I can tell you WHY something does or doesn't work. Adding trends is essential to current design, but the difference between smart and impulsive design is knowing when and where to insert trends of color, material and style. These decisions separate a beautiful timeless home from a home that will be outdated in 5-7 years. With smart design selections at the foundation level, a home can move effortlessly with the trends and not get stuck in them. Let me assist you in choosing colors, and finishes for your home including: interior paint, flooring, carpet, plumbing fixtures, lighting, wall applications, counter selection and backsplash design.
